IP-8000 Combi

For all laminating methods in the GRP industry
Very high capacity – outstanding flexibility. Quick changeover to different production methods. Can supply several application tools simultaneously. Advanced tested technique. Easy and safe to operate with simple controls.

OPERATION

Aplicator’s IP-8000 combi machine is a well engineered and designed machine for the grp industry that eliminates the “bucket and brush” in hand lay up. Widely used and have become a best seller in the industry. Advanced and proven techniques. Easy and safe to handle with simple controls for straightforward operation. Equipped with Aplicator’s unique infinitely adjustable catalyst slave pump for exact resin to catalyst ratio. Internal mixing of resin and catalyst in a static mixer for complete mixture of the product.

FUNCTION

The IP-8000 machine works with an air driven dual-acting piston pump, both for the resin and the catalyst. The stainless steel constructed catalyst pump is synchronised with the material pump shaft for precise delivery of catalyst, independent of variations in air supply or viscosity of material. The catalyst pump incorporates a pressure gauge and pressure relief valve.
The catalyst amount is easily adjusted by a hand-wheel, which changes the stroke length of the catalyst pump. The mixing ratio is infinitely adjustable.
The catalyst is pumped directly from the original container. The resin can be pumped through a suction hose from a 20-litre pail, 200-litre drum or through a fixed installation from a storage tank.
The components are mixed internally in a 500-mm long static mixer before the material is pumped through a single hose to the application tool.
The working environment will be cleaner and safer as there will not be any handling of resin or catalyst in open vessels. Equipped with a pneumatically operated solvent pump for easy cleaning.
The machine is also equipped with a unique recirculation system for the catalyst and resin for degassing and function checks.

INTERNAL MIXING

Aplicator have used the method of internal mixing of resin and catalyst for several years and this has proven to be the best method of obviating the problems, which can occur with incomplete mixing.

FLUSHING

Cleaning the spray gun after use is easily carried out by the built in pneumatic operated flushing pump. By pressing the flushing button on the pump, the static mixer, hose, handle and spray gun will automatically be flushed with no manual handling of hazardous solvents.

The machine showed on the overleaf might have extra equipment, modifications might have been made since the brochures were printed.
