IPG-24HV Classic is a further development of the internationally acknowledged IPG-24/HV series. It utilises proven technology from both the established and reliable IPG-6000 series and IPG-24/HV machine. The Classic version has a static mixer on the machine, a pneumatically operated solvent pump for ease of cleaning and uses the same catalyst dosage technology that has made Aplicator synonymous with quality products over the last decades.
Aplicator’s IPG-24HV Classic Barrier Coat barrier uses air driven dual-acting piston pumps for both the barrier coat and the catalyst. Manufactured from stainless steel, the catalyst pump incorporates a pressure gauge and pressure relief valve, and is mechanically synchronised with the resin pump. This provides precise and pulse free delivery of catalyst regardless of variations in air supply or resin viscosity.
Catalyst dosage is easily adjusted using a handwheel to change the catalyst pump stroke length. The mixing ratios are continuously variable. Catalyst can be pumped direct from the original container. Barrier coat is usually pumped from a 25-litre pail, but can also be pumped from a 200-litre drum, a bulk container or a fixed storage tank. Using a static mixer, both catalyst and barrier coat is thoroughly blended together before the material is pumped through a single hose to the barrier coat gun. For degassing and functional checks, the machine is equipped with a unique recir¬culation system for both catalyst and barrier coat.
Aplicator have used internal mixing of barrier and catalyst for several years. This process has proved to be the optimum method of obviating problems that can occur with incomplete mixing.
Cleaning the spray gun after use is easily achieved using the built-in, pneumatically operated flushing pump. With no manual handling of potentially hazardous solvents, simply pressing the flush button on the pump automatically flushes the static mixer, hose and spray gun.
